Mystery at Harlun's Watch

  • 1 of 13: Talk to gro-Khash about "Contract" and "Disappearances" after doing his "The Noble's Daughter" quest and Azzan's "The Stone of St. Alessia" quest.
  • 2 of 13: Travel to Harlun's Watch, which is a small town at the end of the road that leads south from Cheydinhal's West Gate.
  • 3 of 13: Find Drarana Thelis in her house and talk to her about the disappearances to learn that they happened at the Swampy Cave (location 58 on the Nibenay map).
  • 4 of 13: Approach the cave entrance to get a journal entry.
  • 5 of 13: Optionally kill the will-o-the-wisps for their rare glow dust, then enter the cave and start exploring.
  • 6 of 13: At the first path split, take the left branch to reach a dead-end cave room that has some treasure chests, one of which will have a leveled Detect Life helm in it. (Level 23+ characters will get the very best helms.)
  • 7 of 13: Kill trolls and loot treasure chests until you make it to the far-south chamber.
  • 8 of 13: Approach the human remains in there to get a journal entry about finding the missing townsfolk.
  • 9 of 13: Your goal then becomes clearing out the entire two-level cave complex of trolls.
  • 10 of 13: Thoroughly search the starting cave area until you're sure you've gotten every troll, then find the door to Dry Rock Run way up in the NW corner of the area.
  • 11 of 13: After you've hunted down and killed all the trolls in the twisty Dry Rock Run area, you'll get a journal entry telling you to return to Harlun's Watch.
  • 12 of 13: Do so and talk to Thelis to get a very nice magic Mind and Body Ring.
  • 13 of 13: Then report back to gro-Khash to finish up and get promoted to Champion.
