How do I defeat the boss?
1 of 8: You've explored the Island Fortress. You've activated the Water and Mechanical Towers. Now you've opened the Throne Room and face the Empress of Time herself. Prepare for a fight.
2 of 8: Fighting the Empress is like fighting any other enemy -- bring her life bar (shown on the bottom of the screen during the battle) down to zero before she does the same to you.
3 of 8: In general, basic combat strategies apply. Start with those as you observe her movements, looking specifically for any unordinary maneuvers.
4 of 8: The Empress has a powerful combo that will sometimes penetrate your guard. If she launches into this combo, try to dodge away from her at your first chance. Also beware of her attacks as she floats above the ground. A single blow from her can do significant damage.
5 of 8: There are four poles in the Throne Room that you can use to spin around (approach and press Primary or Secondary Attack), which can often do damage while preventing it to yourself. Try this if you're taking too much damage in normal combat.
6 of 8: During the battle, the Empress will summon two Bird Creatures to fight you as she floats high above the room. Defeat them and harvest the sand from their bodies.
7 of 8: Use Slow Time to deal significant damage to the Empress while sustaining little or no damage yourself. You can harvest sand from the Bird Creatures or some of the pots surrounding the room.
8 of 8: When it comes down to it, hack, slash, and cut your way to victory. Use your most powerful and useful combat techniques and maneuvers to avoid her attacks and launch your own. Use Slow Time very liberally. Do enough damage and the Empress will fall.
