Portal 2 Hints

Old Facility and Pump Station Alpha

  • 1 of 9: Push open the next door, then turn left and go along the walkway that leads into the old facility's huge flooded cavern.
  • 2 of 9: After you go up the stairs to the walkway's upper level, look ahead and to the right to see a large nearby platform with a tall metal structure on it. That's your next goal, and you can get there using the regular way or the shortcut way.
  • 3 of 9: Get on the lift that's at the base of the metal structure, then press its big red button to ride it to the top.
  • 4 of 9: Get off the lift and go over to the broken-off walkway section, then look to the right to see a door labeled "Pump Station Alpha" off in the distance next to another broken walkway section.
  • 5 of 9: Open the door and go through it, then turn left and enter the control room.
  • 6 of 9: Go to its other end and use the big red-handled switch that's on a console, then wait for the nearby gate to open.
  • 7 of 9: Go through it and along the walkway to reach a locked door you can't open.
  • 8 of 9: Go along the upper walkway until you can turn right and move onto a large pipe.
  • 9 of 9: Follow it down to another walkway section, then turn left and enter the elevator to be taken to the Alpha Enrichment Sphere #1 region.
