Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Hints

How do I get to the company's main server room?

  • 1 of 9: NOTE: Be sure you've gotten the server access algorithm before you start on this stage of the mission.
  • 2 of 9: Once the executives are out of the way, go through the upper floor's locked door (or up the stairs from the lower floor).
  • 3 of 9: Now you need to get to the desk that's on the other side of the level 2 lobby.
  • 4 of 9: Behind the desk are doors to the training gym and the R&D area. The gym is optional, but you need to get into R&D.
  • 5 of 9: BONUS: Once you're in R&D's main room on the lower floor, hack the left computer on the table next to the windows to get a turret performance report, thereby fulfilling this mission's bonus objective. (You can do the hacking from nearby shadows using the EEV if there are still guards walking around that you don't want to have to take down.)
  • 6 of 9: When you're ready to leave R&D, sneak up the stairs near the weapons testing room. The guy who walked out of the break room should be up there sitting at a computer. Grab and whack him, or wait up against a wall until he gets up and goes back downstairs. Then hack the keypad on the nearby room and enter its crawl space.
  • 7 of 9: Or instead of going upstairs, wait until the downstairs worker goes toward the weapon room door. When he reaches it, hit him with a nonlethal projectile and quickly drag his body into the weapon room and close the door. Then crouch-walk to the back of the room and shimmy up into the ventilation system.
  • 8 of 9: If the downstairs guy just won't ever go over to the weapons room door, you can wait until the other guy comes downstairs to talk to him, then get both of them at once with a single well-placed sticky camera gas attack. Then you can easily enter the vent shafts any way you want to.
  • 9 of 9: However you get into the vent system, find the spot where you can climb down a rope. Do so, and you'll be in the main server room.
