Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Hints

How can I get to the steam rooms and then through them?

  • 1 of 9: First, head back to the main lobby if you're not already there (you can retrace the route you took to get upstairs).
  • 2 of 9: If you haven't taken down the guards and civilian worker in the lobby, either do so now or sneak along until you find a doorway that leads through a short winding corridor to the locker room.
  • 3 of 9: Use the OCP on the light in the winding corridor, and then on the overhead light in the locker room itself. This makes it easy to sneak past the locker room guard.
  • 4 of 9: When you exit the bathroom that's past the locker room, you'll have two different directions you can go.
  • 5 of 9: Left takes you through some yellow police tape and some cuttable material to the large pool room, and the right path gets you to the public baths area. Either way, make your way through that room and then the first steam room.
  • 6 of 9: The door you want to use to exit the first steam room is the one that's furthest from the steam valve. It leads to a second steam room, which has a guard and an automated turret in it.
  • 7 of 9: As you approach this room, shoot out the light in the hall.
  • 8 of 9: After the guard gives up looking for you and has his back turned to the doorway, go through it and directly to the left to find a valve wheel you can turn to steam up the room. Now you can sneak over to the exit on the opposite side without the guard or turret seeing you.
  • 9 of 9: NOTE: If the guard goes all the way to the previous steam room after you shoot out the light, you'll need to take him down quickly if you knocked anyone out in that room.
