How do I combine those three items?
1 of 16: You can combine the first three items -- the powder from the tooth, the powder from the claw, and the plant cutting -- in inventory. However, that is still not sufficient. You'll need to find some other catalyst that will cause the three items to become one entity.
2 of 16: In chemical reactions, one of the most common catalysts is heat. How can you heat up the combination of these three items?
3 of 16: Have you found any heater/burner anywhere in the mansion?
4 of 16: Look upstairs, on the third floor.
5 of 16: As you come up the stairs, and look at the hallway, there are two doors very close to each other.
6 of 16: Go in the door on the left, and look at the right side of the room. There is something sitting there that looks like it could be a burner.
7 of 16: But unless you've taken care of this earlier in the game, it is not ready to be used yet. Something is missing.
8 of 16: When you first encounter this burner, only two of its three supports are in place.
9 of 16: You will need to find the third support, and fit it into the burner.
10 of 16: But if you try to light the burner, Michael says that there is still something missing. You can't just set your combined ingredients directly on a flame; you need something to put them in.
11 of 16: What might you use that would be fire-resistant, and serve as a good "combining dish" for your three elements?
12 of 16: There are plenty of paint cans lying around; what about a lid from one of them?
13 of 16: You can find a free paint can lid in the room with the cans of paint, across the hall and under the wooden stairs.
14 of 16: Look in the center of the table, near where you found the small key earlier. Take the paint can lid, go back to the burner in the other room, and set the lid on top of the burner.
15 of 16: You can now light the burner with the matches from your inventory.
16 of 16: Once the burner is lit, take the combination of the three elements (powder from tooth, powder from claw, plant cutting) and place it in the lid. The heat will transform the three separate elements.
