Sentinel: Descendants in Time Hints
I can't figure it out; can you just give me a solution?
of 10: Let's take this one step at a time, beginning with how each of the four main pathway areas needs to be arranged, to form a complete path from the landing to the "umbrella stand" out on the rock. And to keep things simple, we'll begin with the pathways at the edge of the island, near where you first arrived in Corabanti. All references to "direction" are relative, assuming that you are facing North as you look out toward the "umbrella stand". (Obviously, this cannot be the case, since you will be moving around the island. However, it will make for easier notation in the description below.) Thus, when facing each set of walkways -- in any of the areas -- you are facing "North", "East" is to your right, and "West" is to your left.
of 10: For each of the four main pathways, there are 9 walkway segments -- in three rows of three segments. And each segment is either a straight segment, or a right-angle segment.
of 10: It is important to note that you must turn the segments in order, beginning with the one closest to land. If you try to rotate a segment that is farther out, and not connected to other segments that connect to land, it will not turn.
of 10: Walk out to the edge of the island, and you will note that the first pathway segment is straight. To be able to walk out onto it, you will need to rotate it so that it is perpendicular to the land.
of 10: The next segment (which you want to meet the end of this first one) is a right-angle segment. You want to rotate it so that its two segments are facing "West" and "South" from its pivot point. This will allow you to walk out further, and then to your left.
of 10: The next segment is also a right-angle, and needs to be set to face "North" and "East" -- which will cause it to connect to your second segment, and continue moving you out the walkway.
of 10: The next segment -- another right-angle -- must be rotated to face "South" and "East".
of 10: The next segment is a straight segment, and should be set to an "East-West" orientation.
of 10: And the final segment is a right-angle, and must be rotated to face "West" and "North", thereby completing your pathway to the rock with the "umbrella stand".
