Ritual of Mania
1 of 18: This is the quest you get if you finish "Ritual of Accession" by choosing to replace Thadon, Duke of Mania.
2 of 18: It's a given that Thadon won't voluntarily commit suicide in order to let you take over, so you need to talk to people in New Sheoth about him for some ideas.
3 of 18: Actually, you can just talk to Dervenin in the Sacellum to get the info you need.
4 of 18: He refers you to someone named Wide-Eye, so follow your quest arrow to find her.
5 of 18: Talk to her about Thadon and then about the daily routine.
6 of 18: If her disposition is 60 or higher, she'll tell you about a certain errand she runs at noon, and that Thadon's dinner at 8 pm has a bit of greenmote put in it.
7 of 18: Ask her about the greenmote to learn that it's kept in a silo, and that she won't tell you how to enter the silo no matter what.
8 of 18: So it's up to you to do a little covert stealth work to find out how to enter the silo and then get what you need.
11 of 18: When you're done looting the area, sneak back out and do something else until about 8 pm.
12 of 18: A bit before eight, return to the main House of Mania section and stand somewhere near the dining table that's next to the throne.
13 of 18: Wait and watch until Thadon falls over dead.
14 of 18: Click on his body once to get some of his tainted blood, and then again to loot him of his valuables, including the Diadem of Euphoria.
15 of 18: Return to the Sacellum Arden-Sul and use the big altar inside to put Thadon's blood in its bowl.
16 of 18: After Dervenin proclaims you to be the new Duke of Mania, talk to Sheogorath to report your success.
17 of 18: You'll be interrupted by a lengthy cut-scene in which Syl shows up and rags on Sheo for sponsoring your takeover of the House of Mania. She'll threaten to join the side of Order and storm out.
