The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints

Assist the people of Winterhold.

  • 1 of 5: After you finish the "Find Helm of Winterhold inside [random dungeon]" objective, ask Jarl Korir if there's anything else he needs, then say it would be an honor.
  • 2 of 5: For an easy "assist point," go to the Frozen Hearth inn and give Ranmir a drink. (This assumes you haven't done the "Helping Ranmir find his lost love" undocumented quest, and that you have a bottle of ale, wine, or mead in your inventory that you won't mind giving away.)
  • 3 of 5: Two more easy points can be gotten by doing the "Steal the Staff of Arcane Authority for Malur Seloth" and "Talk to Ranmir about Haran" objectives.
  • 4 of 5: Also, you can go to the Whistling Mine and sell iron ore to Thorgar. (Note that you can get some iron ore in the mine, but he'll accept it no matter where you got it.)
  • 5 of 5: After you've gotten credit for helping three people, this objective will be completed.
