System Shock 2 Hints
Energy Weapons
Energy weapons are the laser pistol, laser rapier, and EMP rifle. Energy weapons are nice, because there's often a recharger at hand, or if not, the tier-3 psi power of Electron Cascade can recharge a weapon quickly. However, energy weapons do not work well against stronger annelids, and the laser pistol is fairly weak anyway. Energy weapons, especially the EMP rifle, are best used against robots, cyborgs, or weak opponents.
You will probably need some other kind of anti-personnel and anti-annelid attack. Also consider a high Maintenance skill, which improves the standard charge on your weapons.
