How can I repair the damaged flute?

  • 1 of 16: If you look closely at the damaged flute, you'll see that it is missing some of its pipes.
  • 2 of 16: What might you replace those pipes with?
  • 3 of 16: Have you seen anything that resembles those blue pipes?
  • 4 of 16: Out in the center of the plateau, near one of the water control panels, there is a stand of lunar reeds.
  • 5 of 16: Take some reeds, and combine them with the damaged flute in your inventory.
  • 6 of 16: Oh-oh.  It looks like you'll need something else, as well.  So what other component might you use to fully repair the damaged flute?
  • 7 of 16: While the inventory combining tray is sometimes "magical" in what it can do, in this particular case you will need to find something to make the repairs permanent...
  • 8 of 16: ...  something to keep the lunar reeds attached to the rest of the flute.
  • 9 of 16: At first glance, it almost looks like that could be done with a string, or rope, or strap of some kind.
  • 10 of 16: But that won't work.  You'll need something more binding, and more permanent.
  • 11 of 16: What you're going to need is some glue.
  • 12 of 16: However, you won't be able to find any glue just lying around somewhere.
  • 13 of 16: There are two ways to obtain some glue.
  • 14 of 16: One is to go to the Distributor on Level 4 and purchase some "gluance" (the green and purple glue) -- which will require that you have enough lunars to do so.  However, this is not an item that you MUST purchase from the Distributor.
  • 15 of 16: The other route is to go to the Purifier on Level 5, and use one of the formulas that you find there (and which will then be copied to Ardan's log, once you've seen them) to concoct some glue.
  • 16 of 16: Once you have glue, include it in the combining tray with the damaged flute and the lunar reeds to get a working flute.
