Voyage Hints

How can Ardan move his shell from the precipice?

  • 1 of 18: This is not a task to undertake early in the game.  You will most likely need to do much more exploring before you will be able to take on this task.  (If you are not ready, the hints below could present "spoilers" for later in the game.)
  • 2 of 18: If you feel that you are ready to proceed, look carefully around the shell, to see what is holding it there.
  • 3 of 18: There is some kind of a block right at the edge of the precipice that is keeping it from going over the edge.
  • 4 of 18: It's too heavy for Ardan to move by himself.
  • 5 of 18: Is there anything you can use to leverage that block out of the way?
  • 6 of 18: You can try the rifle...
  • 7 of 18: ... but you may just end up bending it.
  • 8 of 18: You'll need something stronger than that.
  • 9 of 18: Use the iron bar on the block under the shell.
  • 10 of 18: Ardan says that "the stone is trembling", but "the shell is weighing too heavily on it".
  • 11 of 18: It looks like the only option is to somehow lighten the shell.
  • 12 of 18: Have you explored the underground caverns far enough such that this suggestion rings a bell?
  • 13 of 18: One of the formulas for the Purifier appeared to describe something that causes a heavy object to become lighter.
  • 14 of 18: You will need to generate some of the "lightening paint" illustrated by this formula, and paint it on the projectile, to reduce its weight.
  • 15 of 18: As indicated by the formula on the Purifier, once you have created the "lightening paint", you should use it to paint your capsule.
  • 16 of 18: Return to the capsule, and use the "lightening paint" on the outside of the shell.
  • 17 of 18: Once Ardan has successfully painted the shell, it will weigh much less.
  • 18 of 18: Now you can use the iron bar to lever the shell over the precipice.
