The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon Hints

Notes and Extras

  • 1 of 13: Since Fort Frostmoth has an Imperial Cult Shrine, you can cast Divine Intervention from any spot on Solstheim to teleport straight there. As for Almsivi Intervention, there are no Tribunal Temple shrines around, so it'll take you to the temple in Gnisis.
  • 2 of 13: The evidence chest for this region is in the fort's Prison area, which is accessible through the General Quarters area.
  • 3 of 13: Brynjolfr, who's in a little hut in Thirsk, will make custom fur armor for you if you provide the fur. Talk to him about "snow wolf armor" or "snow bear armor" to get a price list. In order to get the pelts you need, go hunting for Snow Wolves and Snow Bears in snowy-type areas. I've found several Snow Bears in the snowy regions SW of Fort Frostmoth and out near Raven Rock, and I've found Snow Wolves up in the frozen NW section of the island. You can also get 5 Snow Bear pelts by doing the "Tymvaul in the Well" misc. quest, and one Snow Wolf pelt from a treasure chest in the Eddard Barrow. Yet another way is to finish the misc. quest entitled "The Mead Hall Massacre" and then send your hunters out after pelts.
  • 4 of 13: There's a magic sword called Bloodskal sitting on the large central stone in the Bloodskal Barrow (location 27 on the Solstheim Map). When you take it, two powerful skeletons will appear and start attacking you, and three Draugr will be waiting for you near the exit.
  • 5 of 13: In Sjobal (location 6), there's a guy in pretty glass armor named Thauraver who's just killed some Argonian slaves at the command of some "K" person. That's not important, but the guy's neat glass armor is! (And you can read the note on his body for a Security skill increase.)
  • 6 of 13: In Benkongerike (location 59), there's a dead mage named Fryssa who has a magic robe on her called Whitewalker. It's got a constant Chameleon effect of 50%, but also constantly causes damage to its wearer. Fortunately, there's a way around that little detail.
  • 7 of 13: The Rogue Necromancer in Skygge (location 1) has a magic staff called the Staff of Carnal Channeling that casts Summon Bonewalker and Damage Health when used.
  • 8 of 13: The three heavily locked and trapped treasure chests in the Eddard Barrow (location 35) contain lots of good stuff, including a random Daedric weapon, a Snow Wolf pelt, and the Helm of Bear Scent (which puts a constant Detect Animal for 150 feet on you).
  • 9 of 13: There's a note on the underwater corpse at location 42 telling of someone named Angria stealing the Snow Prince's helm out of the Jolgeirr Barrow (location 44). If you check the barrow, you'll discover that the helmet is indeed missing (but the cool magic spear isn't, oddly enough). To find the helmet, go to Frykte (location 58) and look for Angria's corpse stuck to the ceiling with a sword in the SE corner of the cave.
  • 10 of 13: The Berserker Denmother is at the end of one of the long tunnels in Gronn (location 38). She wears a magic helm called the Helmet of Bearkind that can be used to cast several useful Fortify spells.
  • 11 of 13: In Legge (location 39), one of the Grizzly Bears has a Ring of Wizard's Fire and some human flesh on him, or maybe *in* him. However, if he swallowed that ring while eating the nearby settler, how could he use it to toss a spell at you? What a mystery!
  • 12 of 13: In Bjorn (location 56), there's a magic sword called Icicle stuck in the ice underneath a corpse hanging down from the ceiling.
  • 13 of 13: If you go straight north from Erna the Quiet's house in the Skaal Village until you reach the coast, you'll find a wrecked boat with a special lantern called The Watchman's Eye hanging on a post. It can be sold for a lot of money (compared to other lanterns, at least) or used for a lot of light in dark dungeons. (Just remember not to have it out when you go underwater, or it'll be destroyed.) It's very long-lasting, and has the widest illumination radius of any portable light source. (But the big granddaddy of all long-lasting portable light sources is still the Pilgrim's Lantern, which can be found on Vvardenfell in Ebonheart's Underground Caves area.)
