Starting Tips

  • 1 of 6: As in Acts I and II, you should start off by exploring around the available regions for combat and loot. As before, regions you've already looted will have new stuff in them.
  • 2 of 6: Below are mini-tours for each Kirkwall daytime region.
  • 3 of 6: Visit the Black Emporium if you have its premium content installed to find three new codex items and several super-expensive new store items.
  • 4 of 6: Next, check out the Kirkwall nighttime regions.
  • 5 of 6: When you're done in Kirkwall, explore the Free Marches areas for more combat and loot. (Note that the Bone Pit area is covered in the "Mine Massacre" secondary quest's hints.)
  • 6 of 6: After you finish all of that and any minor quests that came up along the way, you'll have gotten a good start on Act III.
