Fallout 3 Hints
Escort Doctor Li through Taft Tunnel to the Citadel.
1 of 21: Move down the tunnel until you reach a sort of room with some pillars in it.
2 of 21: You should spot (and hear) an Enclave eyebot in that area. Quickly open fire on it and blow it up.
3 of 21: There's a first aid box on a wall just to the left of where you entered the area, but watch out for the toxic yellow spill on the floor near it, plus the radioactive barrels around the corner.
4 of 21: Get a bottle of buffout from on top of the leftmost radioactive barrel, then quickly run for the northern, barrel-free tunnel branch.
5 of 21: Go through the doorway at its other end, then around to a door you can open.
6 of 21: Past it, walk carefully by the yellow toxic spill, then on to where you reach a path split.
7 of 21: If you go left, all you'll find are a lot of radioactive barrels and one radaway item on the floor next to one of them. Go the other way to find another radio-playin' eyebot to blast, followed by a doorway to a room with several Enclave soldiers in it.
8 of 21: Sneak over to where you can fire on one of the soldiers (such as the one you can see on an upper walkway), then duck out of sight and wait.
9 of 21: The big closed door just ahead should soon open. I'm not sure why it does, but you could just go through it and not bother fighting the Enclave soldiers any further. (Though you'd be passing up lots of combat XP and gear, plus a Sneak skill book that's on a table in their room.)
10 of 21: Kill all of the ghouls in the tunnel ahead, then go through the door to the Taft Tunnel area when you reach it.
11 of 21: Move through the next door, then turn around and wait for Doctor Li to catch up and talk to you about Garza.
12 of 21: After you finish with the "Deal with the Garza 'situation'" objective, check near the radio for a med-X item, then go through the next door, and then another one.
13 of 21: Go through the second door slowly while looking up. There's an unreachable balcony above you with two Enclave soldiers waiting to ambush you (if you didn't ambush them earlier).
14 of 21: Go along the walkways to leave the room, then check the desk you come to for a weird eyebot helmet.
15 of 21: After going up some stairs, you'll be in an area with several ghouls. Shoot them all down as you go along.
16 of 21: Keep going until you come to two doors at the end of a tunnel. The locked one will be opened for you soon, so use the switch to the right of the other door to open it and find a Brotherhood of Steel outpost.
17 of 21: Run around behind the first barricade, then help the Brother kill off the ghouls that run in the door you came through.
18 of 21: Go back through that door to find that the locked door is now open. You can optionally go through it to find more ghouls to kill (including a "glowing one" that attacks you with radiation bursts), plus a safe that's easy to pick open, and an ammo box on a metal beam that you can jump to.
19 of 21: Check the shelves past the Brotherhood guy's barricade for numerous supplies, then head up the tunnel to find more supplies on a small table, plus a ladder that leads to an outdoor spot near the Brotherhood's Citadel (formerly the U.S. Pentagon building).
20 of 21: Doctor Li and the others will automatically catch up to you again, and you can follow the doctor over to the Citadel's entrance.
21 of 21: After the entry door opens, follow her inside until you get the "Picking Up the Trail" quest.
