Section 3: Remnant and Specters

  • 1 of 11: Past the door, turn right and jump over some rubble.
  • 2 of 11: Just ahead of you, a freaky new enemy called a remnant will stagger into view.
  • 3 of 11: The best way to take down this remnant is to SlowMo-shoot it with the SMG, since there are several SMGs around to resupply from. There are also two armor vests and a medkit in the area.
  • 4 of 11: For a clue as to where to go next, watch where the glowing specter goes when you approach the armor vest that's near the bus' front end.
  • 5 of 11: In the room past the metal door, you'll find another armor vest, another medkit, and two medical injectors near a dead body.
  • 6 of 11: The metal door closed behind you, so go through the nearby wooden door to find a room full of those ghostly specter creatures.
  • 7 of 11: The best way to handle this batch of specters is to let them all hit you, then go use a medical injector to heal up. (Note that you're not done with the specters until you reach the first set of stairs.)
  • 8 of 11: At the top of the stairs, go through the unblocked door, then the following doorway.
  • 9 of 11: In the rubble-y room beyond, find the open vent shaft in the back wall and crouch-walk through it to reach another room.
  • 10 of 11: Go through its large wall hole and drop onto a truck, then onto the street.
  • 11 of 11: Go down the street past the truck to finally get a checkpoint save and move on to Section 4: Street Combat.
