Section 3: Northern Petrol (d2_coast_04)

Drive ahead to reach the start of yet another big sandy beach area with antlions spawning all over the place.

After you go under the big broken bridge, you'll go past a small lake and soon come to the Northern Petrol facilities.

After the thumper's going, look around near it for a small wooden ramp that can be used to get up onto the dock structure, where more soldiers await you.

After you finish off those soldiers, you've got this entire section of the docks to yourself. Below are some notes and tips about the area.

When you're done with all that, figure out a way to get from the docks' upper walkway to the two big Northern Petrol buildings.
- How can I get across to those buildings? The bridge leading there is raised.

After the bridge is lowered, it's time to figure out how to get the jeep up onto the docks so you can drive past the buildings and on down the highway.

Once the jeep is in place, leave the crane tower and cross the bridge you lowered, ready to fight more soldiers who appear inside the building.

Then you need to open the building's side door so that you can get the jeep through it.

Drive through the newly opened door and prepare to execute some hit-and-run tactics on the Combine soldiers in the next area.

10 of 14: Past that is a small building with a wide-open door and a big ramp leading up to a huge window.
11 of 14: You just *can't* resist a ramp while driving a vehicle, so go up it at full speed to crash through the window and land near the next segment of highway that you need to drive down.
12 of 14: TIP: Before you head off down the highway, check around for supplies, including back in the docks area on the other side of the bridge (where you would have saved some supply crates for now if you took my earlier advice on the subject).

Soon after you start down the highway, another highly annoying Combine gunship will appear and attack!
