Half-Life 2 Hints
Section 2: Approaching the Nexus Building (d3_c17_10a)
of 12: The door that you soon come to will lead to a small outside area with a small combat to deal with.
of 12: Head up the stairs and through the doors to find several supply crates to raid while Barney explains what you're going to be doing next.
of 12: Go up some stairs to get to a room with windows that you can see the nexus building through, but stay away from the windows so that you won't be spotted too soon.
of 12: Wait next to the closed door with the Combine lock until Barney opens it, then run through and quickly find the stairs leading down before any of your team gets shot.
of 12: Past the bottom of the stairs, pick up the hopper you see on the floor ahead of you and toss it so that it explodes and knocks over the sentry gun that's hiding just a bit to the left.
of 12: There's one more hopper to deal with before you head outside and start coming under fire from the huge suppression gun.
of 12: Bash the padlock off the holding cell to release any surviving resistance members inside, then wait for any lagging squad members to make it into the room with you.
of 12: After picking up supplies and saving your game, go through the other door and run quickly over to the concrete wall with a fence on top of it that you can see over on the right.
of 12: You won't have to worry about the suppression gun if you stay close to this wall and the walls further on, but you will have to worry about more soldiers at the nexus building's fancy front entrance.
