Icewind Dale II Hints
How do I pass the Eight Chambers trial?
1 of 7: After getting permission to do the trial, go down the stairs that can be found along the northern wall of the main floor and talk to Morohem.
2 of 7: Each trial requires one person to leave all his inventory items behind (including equipment) and go into a chamber alone.
3 of 7: The quickest way to ditch a character's equipment is to have him talk to Morohem, say he's ready for the trial, and ask to store his equipment there instead of talking to Nonin about it. That way, it'll all get put in a nearby storage locker (use the ALT key to find it). Don't forget to get it back before you leave the area.
4 of 7: To complete the Eight Chambers trial and gain access to the tomb, you must have one character or another go through each of the eight trials in order.
5 of 7: Since a party member has to go in alone, one of the best strategies is to send someone who can summon undead or some other kind of ally to take some of the heat. Barring that, your highest-HP character is often the best choice.
6 of 7: See the individual trial hints below for more information.
7 of 7: Once you finish all eight chambers, report back to Aruma (or Salisam if you chased Aruma off) to finish the quest and get the tomb door unlocked.
