How do I solve the stalk on the left?
1 of 5: This stalk grows to a maximum of nine bumps tall. Your goal is to make sure leaves grow on the top (ninth) bump.
2 of 5: If pressed first, either blue or yellow will always grow a stalk that's five bumps tall. Have you tried to create additional growth on top of this stalk, when it is five bumps tall?
3 of 5: If the stalk grows to exactly five bumps tall, the next growth will always end at nine bumps (no matter which color you choose next) without the required leaves at the top. So, for this stalk, five bumps of growth is a "hurdle" you'll need to avoid.
4 of 5: Since both blue and yellow create a stalk five bumps tall, then they cannot be used to start with. The only choice is to begin with green.
5 of 5: The green stalk might grow two, three, or four bumps. You'll need to try out all combinations to see what can be grown on top of a stalk at each of those heights.
