Nancy Drew 21: Warnings at Waverly Academy Hints

How do demerits and credits work?

  • 1 of 5: You get demerits for doing things the school doesn't want you to do, like setting off false fire alarms, and you get credits for doing things they like, like working on the website. You can check up on your current standing on the computer in the library; go to Student Life, Demerit Standing.  When your balance reaches 15 or more demerits, you'll be expelled, so keep track!
  • 2 of 5: You can find a complete list in the student handbook on the computer in the library, but here's a partial breakdown.
  • 3 of 5: Demerits: Climbing the tree (3 points), breaking into the locked classroom (10 points), breaking into another student's room (5 points), being out of your bedroom at night (5 points), pulling the fire alarm (5 points), knocking on bedroom doors between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. (2 points), not filling a teacher's snack order on time (1 point), not doing at least one full round of snack orders (3 points a day).
  • 4 of 5: Except for the fire alarm, you'll only get demerits for being caught doing these things. So if you really need to, say, climb the tree, be sure to do it at night when everyone's asleep.
  • 5 of 5: Credits: Filling five rounds of snack orders in a day (2 points), enhancing the school website by helping Rachel (1 point each time), getting the top score in Double Take (1 point each time), returning the Poe book to its rack in the library (5 points).
