Nancy Drew 30: The Shattered Medallion Hints
Awards
of 17: Here are the awards in the game and what you need to do to get them. Have fun!
of 17: Big Spender -- For spending those hard-won points: Buy everything in the Auction House, which will cost you about 100 points. If you want to get all the awards, don't do this until after you get High Scorer.
of 17: Card Agon -- Playing the cards to win: Find and use four of the point-boosting or debit cards in the game.
of 17: -- and one on sale in the Auction House; it costs 20 points, so it gets you a net increase of 30 points.
of 17: To use these cards, go to the scoreboard in the Base Camp, look at the scores, and click them on the team you want to use them on. You can only use the bonus cards on Team Tui, and you should probably use the debit cards on either Team Tawaki or Team Kea. Spoiler: All the other teams --
of 17: -- will be eliminated before the end, so slowing them down serves no purpose.
of 17: Compassionate -- For being a friend to a friend in need: You get this one for having all possible conversations with George, in person and on the phone. The best way to do this is to go see her and phone her as soon as you're able to, then continue it throughout the game. Some conversations only come up once, so check in with her at every possible chance; in particular, talk to her in person (before the bridge incident) until she has nothing new to say. This is a difficult award to get, so hurrah for you when you get it!
of 17: Dive Master -- A passion for traversing the underwater world: Use the mini sub at least six times. You don't have to go anywhere; just dive, turn around, and surface.
of 17: Egged -- For discovering a hidden secret: Find at least one of the Easter eggs in the game.
of 17: Explorer -- Becoming a paddle expert: Go out in a kayak at least 12 times. You don't have to go anywhere; you can just step into the kayak, do a U-turn, and get out 12 times if you want.
of 17: Gamer -- For being a board game connoiseur [sic]: Play Raid and/or Monster at least 10 times. I don't think you have to win, but why play if you're not going to win?
of 17: High Scorer -- Finishing on a high note: Get a score in the game of 700 points or more. Doing this is a matter of getting the highest scores on the tasks that you can, finding and using all the cards, using Easter eggs on the scoreboard, and playing Raid and/or Monster a couple of times (or make use of the board game glitch).
of 17: Spoiler Free -- For finding your spoilers online: Never go to the end of a hint on the phone; that is, you can get hints, but don't click on the one labeled "Solution."
of 17: Super Fan -- Getting to really know the competition: Listen to all of the team confessional tapes, in the TV in George's hospital room. These accumulate throughout the game, so check in often. By the end of the game, Bess has 4, George 3, Kiri 9, Leena 6, Patrick 9, Team Amokura 4, Team Koekoea 4, Team Matata 2, and Team Kiwi 3.
of 17: Survivor -- It's a shaky world, which you survived: This, as you might have guessed, has to do with the Quake Shack, the earthquake simulator in the Puzzle Palace. It's more than just going in and pushing the button to simulate an earthquake, however. In Stage 3, walk into the Puzzle Palace and face the Shack, and something will crash down from the ceiling. After that happens, go into the Shack and you'll overhear a conversation. When it's over, push the button again, only this time look for a down arrow that lets you get under the table while the room shakes. Voila! Survival.
