Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer Hints
How can I win the golem competition?
of 16: Talk to Artesh to learn the basics of building a golem.
of 16: Look for the golem crafting station he mentioned (a large table) near the SW corner of the room.
of 16: Take the Hammer of Golemcraft from the station, then search the room and its adjacent storeroom for golem parts.
of 16: However, you can't win the competition with just the standard golem parts you can find here. You'll need to make a golem using at least two or three empowered golem parts.
of 16: You could have gotten several empowered golem parts in previous areas, and you can get some here in the academy. (See the Instructors' Quarters Area Optionals for info on where most of them are.)
of 16: Once you've chosen which arms, legs, torso, and head you're going to use, put them all in the golem crafting station.
of 16: Before you can craft your golem, you'll also need to put a spirit essence into the crafting station.
of 16: After everything's set, right-click on the Hammer of Golemcraft in inventory, choose to activate it, then close the inventory window and click on the golem crafting station.
of 16: Click on your golem after it's made so you can choose to name it and have Safiya make it more effective.
of 16: When you're ready, talk to Artesh and pay him 2000 gold to get the fights started.
of 16: After each match is over, talk to Artesh to collect your winnings, then click on your golem (who's back near the crafting station) and repair him before talking to Artesh again to start the next match.
of 16: Note that there's an entry fee for each match, and it'll keep getting bigger and bigger as you win more matches.
of 16: If you make it to the fifth match, be sure to make a side bet with Artesh.
