The Orange Box: Portal Hints

Chapter 10: Testchamber 18

  • 1 of 10: Moving forward, you'll soon come to a large gap in the floor.
  • 2 of 10: The crouch-only opening on the left past the gap is just another optional scuzzy area you can explore if you want to.
  • 3 of 10: In order to progress in this chamber, you'll have to go to the right.
  • 4 of 10: At first, it looks like all there is that way is a drop down to deadly toxins, but look up.
  • 5 of 10: You're going to need to use portals with the concrete ceilings and walls in order to ascend to a button-opened door.
  • 6 of 10: Of course, reaching the button ledge isn't enough -- you also need to find a storage cube to set on the button.
  • 7 of 10: After the cube is on the button, return to the four-dot platform by dropping down to the three-dot platform and portaling your way up just like you did before.
  • 8 of 10: Go through the door and drop down to a slightly lower floor to find yourself next to another big toxic-floor room.
  • 9 of 10: This one has four platforms of various heights in it that you need to get up in order to reach the exit.
  • 10 of 10: The elevator in the exit corridor will take you to Chapter 11: Testchamber 19.
