Portal 2 Hints
How can I get that hatch open?
1 of 7: Look on the walls to the left and right of the hatch to see two small elevated control rooms.
2 of 7: The walkways that lead to each control room are broken just to make things harder (or portal-ier).
3 of 7: Press the red button on the console in either control room to see what happens.
4 of 7: Notice that both control rooms' large digital counters will count down from four to zero, and then nothing will happen.
5 of 7: Maybe both control rooms' buttons have to be pressed at the same time, or at least within the countdown's time limit.
6 of 7: Since there's no one to help you, the only way you could possibly hit the second button before the countdown finishes is if you had portals connecting the two control rooms.
7 of 7: Once that's set up, you can hit the button on one control room's console, then run through the portals and hit the other control room's button before the countdown reaches zero.
