How do I accomplish my task here?
1 of 6: Using the various valves, buttons, handles, etc. on the machine, you can control the dispensing, emptying, and transfer of pink liquid to and from various points in the system.
2 of 6: To get 3 -- and only 3 -- measures of the pink liquid into the empty can, you are going to need to utilize two very important facts about the dispensing and transfer of the liquid.
3 of 6: First, whenever you use either of the two top valves (on the left or the right), they will fill their respective containers (the can or the cylinder) completely -- no matter if they already had some liquid in them, or were empty.
4 of 6: Second, the two "empty" buttons do exactly that -- completely empty either of the containers.
5 of 6: Third (and very important), when you transfer liquid between the two containers (using the button in the middle), the transfer will stop when a) the destination container is full, or b) the source container is empty.
6 of 6: There are several ways of accomplishing this. Some are more complex, or longer, than others. Some require additional steps not required by another. This hint will describe the two simplest methods to solve the problem.
