Fable: The Lost Chapters Hints
Once I'm a teenage apprentice, how can I complete my training?
of 10: After Whisper says that the Guildmaster is waiting for you across the river, head out of the building and return to the melee ring you had your first test at as a boy.
of 10: Talk to the Guildmaster to finally get your old stick upgraded to an iron longsword and to begin your melee training.
of 10: If you chose to play with Whisper in the woods, you can find her waiting for you near the entrance to the woods. Talk to her and run on into the woods, where you'll find three bandits across an uncrossable stream.
of 10: You can use your bow, but I suggest you use magic lightning because they'll just stand there and take it, even when you have to pause to let your magic points recharge. (Also, you'll get some will XP, which is hard to get here at the guild. Skill XP can be gotten in large quantities in a couple of other ways.)
of 10: When you're ready to begin your final test, go find the Guildmaster in the map room and tell him.
of 10: After you finish the final test, return to the guild area to graduate and get your guild seal.
of 10: When you regain control, use the nearby experience spending platform so the Guildmaster can explain it to you. After you finish with that, you'll have started the main portion of the game, and will *finally* be able to do a "world save" (since you're not on any particular quests at the moment).
of 10: TIP: Before using the experience spending platform, do a "hero save" and then load it up again. Sure, you'll have to go through the whole training bit again, but you can gain more gold, resurrection phials and will potions, and (most importantly) experience points. The patient hero can use the gimmicks listed in the Notes and in the final test info above to really pump up his strength and skill XP so he can buy lots of related level-ups when he finally decides to move on. (Also note that each graduation gets you 600 general XP.)
