The Ultimate Heist
1 of 9: You're going to need to get your fenced-item total up to 1,000 gold or more before you can get another message from the Gray Fox.
2 of 9: After Amusei delivers the message, go to the Elven Gardens District and find Othrelos' house near the NE corner of the area.
3 of 9: The Gray Fox wants you to steal an Elder Scroll from the Imperial Palace, a nearly impossible task. He has a plan, though, and will give you a scroll called "Plan for the Big Heist" that spells it out step by step.
4 of 9: Below, I provide detailed hints for each of the seven steps.
5 of 9: When you give the Elder Scroll to the Fox, he'll give you a wedding ring and say to go find out how Countess Umbranox of Anvil reacts when she sees it.
6 of 9: Travel to Anvil and find Millona Umbranox on her throne in Anvil Castle during the day.
7 of 9: When you talk to her about the stranger's ring, she'll recognize it as her husband's, who's been missing for ten years.
8 of 9: The Gray Fox will then show up and remove his cowl, using the power of the Elder Scroll that you got for him to lift Nocturnal's curse of eternal anonymity from it.
9 of 9: After talking to Millona for a bit, he passes the magic cowl on to you, thereby making you the new guildmaster of the Thieves Guild.
